Parking in Our Parking Lot

What am I supposed to do . . . . . .

Since I have started taking pictures of cars parked in my drive way, there has not been a one that I can catch. I come home one day and a car was in my lot. I hurried up stairs to get the camera and when I got to the window it was GONE. I am kind of disappointed. I was enjoying taking the pictures.

The car has been removed from in front of his house. He is taking his BIKE in the house at night. Some nights he still leaves at 4am. I heard this neighbor beside him fighting about the parking between their houses. So I guess that things have cooled off alot.

When I arrived home in September 2008 the Guatemalans had moved out. I got a new neighbor that is a disabled Veteran. His car doesn't work so he parks it in the yard. He rides a 50 year old motorcycle. (You will see his motorcycle in the pictures below). It is REALLY LOUD when he starts his motorcycle up. And he starts it all day and ALL NIGHT. He has alot of company. I don't know anybody that is THAT popular.

MY PROBLEM with Rick is his friends that park in my parking lot. First problem was his girlfriend. Stopped RIGHT in the drive and got out. ALOT of not so nice words came from the girlfriend and from Rick's house and I knew that I was not going to have much fun with this new neighbor.

There was also a trash problem, but I loaded my daughters trash and took it to the dump. After that another box showed up on my parking lot, which that morning it was on Rick's front lawn.. I approached Rick and introduced my self. I said that we had gotten off on the wrong foot. We both apologized and we learned each other's name. (The old saying "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer") But that did not stop his friends from using my parking lot for their convenience. It is not just parking in the parking lot. It is pulling in and parking and blocking the driveway and LEAVING it there, like they didn't realize that there was cars in my lot. NO CONSIDERATION AT ALL!

I had 2 guys in a pickup, pulling a flat bed tailor with a lawn mower on the back. Pulled in my parking lot (wish I would have gotten a picture of that one). Unloaded his mower. The driver goes into Ricks house. The other mowed the front lawn of three of the houses. He loads his mower back up on the tailor. The driver comes out of Rick's with a beer and said that he would be out in a minute. I informed him to move his pickup first. He did. I have had another pickup with a flat bed also use my parking lot for his little trip to Ricks.

One night at 2 am. A car was headed South in my parking lot. Blocking the drive. The girl friend came out and handed the guys in the car something and they handed her an electric guitar. That worried me. Are they doing drug deals in my parking lot??? Now isn't it my business now?? Worried! Not sure I feel safe.

Feeling totally at ends how to keep them from not only using my parking lot, but from blocking the drive. I have 2 posted signs about towing the vehicles. But by the time the tow truck could get there, they would be gone. I could call the police but by the time that the police would get there they would be gone. There was nothing that I could do.

So what resources do I have??? I could put camera's up on my lot. I could put those tire strips across the drive, but I would run over them and it would cost me.

THEN it dawned on me. I can put up a WEB PAGE!! So I started taking pictures. Now I can't wait till someone parks in my parking lot. It's not against the law to take pictures of my parking lot. You will not believe how much the traffic has slowed down. The night pictures I took, you would not believe how fast they left. Flashing lights is not what they want to see.

Rick is the tall one in the center with sun glasses on. I think the one on the left looks a little nervous. He doesn't like me taking pictures!

SO HERE ARE MY PICS

You need to know that this is less than one week, since I started taking pictures.

Red Car
Is this a repeat parker? Yes, I believe that this is the first car that ever parked across the entrance to the parking lot. Just pulled into the lot in the drive and STOPPED!

Notice the oil on the parking lot under the truck. Parts everywhere. This is all in 1 hour.
RICK
Look at the oil in Rick's driveway. He said that the pickup ROLLED over in my parking lot. The first thing I thought did it hit my RV?

These are the two people that were just helping RICK out. They got really nervous when I started taking pictures. She actually had to go into the house and get Rick. Then Rick come out of the house yelling at me and shaking his wrench at me (in his right hand in the picture above). He said he was sick of me. Can you imagine how I feel about him. Come on it's my parking lot and his yard is so nasty why does he want to make mine the same?

It took about 30 minutes and then he had the truck pulled out in the street and parked it there for 2 days.
